Ensuring social justice through inclusive growth

The growth of a society is only possible when people from all walks of life contribute to its well being. I have always believed in this and tried my best to put it into practice in Madhya Pradesh. In a country like India, with a huge and diversified population, the development of every section of the society is of paramount  pimportance. On this World Day of Social Justice, I can say it for a fact that as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, I have taken it up as a responsibility to ensure benefits of government schemes reach every person of the state, irrespective of gender, caste, creed, religion or race.

Our Prime Minister is a visionary. It is his ahead-of-the-time thinking that made our party envision the mantra of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. My Government has been working tirelessly on this principle. We have tried to register a uniform growth touching the lives of every citizen of the state, increasing the overall ease of living. In the last 12 years, I have looked into it that policies and schemes are made keeping all sections of the society in mind.

We have also tried our best to encapsulate the principle of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s 'Integral Humanism' through a decentralized governance with a partnership between citizens and the government. Schemes like Deendayal Antyoday Rasoi have been started as part of which nutritious food is being provided to labourers at Rs 5/meal. Shramoyday Vidyalayas have been opened to provide education to children of labourers. Special attention is being given to the poor and marginalized. Our aim is to create a compassionate and egalitarian society.

Schemes like Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension, Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension and Indira Gandhi National Disabled Pension are underway for the welfare of people. More than 3 Lakh, 12 Lakh and 1.5 Lakh people have been benefitted respectively across the state from these schemes. We also launched a One-Click Pension Distribution Scheme in October 2017 which is helping lakhs of elderly people. The Kanya Vivah & Nikah Yojana has benefitted more than 4 lakh girls since inception.

We are the first state in India to start toilets exclusively for the third gender. Emphasis has been given to making the state barrier-free. Most government offices have been made disabled-friendly. Similarly, the whole Smart City plan has been chalked out with special consideration to people with disability. Special provisions are being made to empower Divyang in the state

I have taken up building #NayaMP as a mission and strongly believe it will only be possible when people of the state come together and put in equal efforts. As the Chief Minister, I am trying my best and request all of you to contribute to making Madhya Pradesh the best state in India built on principles of social justice and equality for all
